In the wake of our state of emergency in the subway system, Passengers United has released a new educational campaign, Subway Safety Second, to help educate transit riders on how to stay safe while riding public transit. With a series of informational social media posts, short videos, and possible in-person engagement such as rallies, presentations, school assemblies and more, we hope that transit riders will not just understand our safety tips, but remember them and incorporate them into their daily habits. These tips are especially relevant today, and they have the potential to reduce injuries and deaths, much like we've seen recently, when they're followed and taken to heart.
